The final day at the Hanko Regatta was sunny and windy. Because of the hard wind 6mR and 8mR classes did not sail on race course D at all on Sunday, so final results are based on Friday races only for 6mR and 8mR. 5m class results are based on results from Friday and Saturday. All other classes were out enjoying the sunny but demanding sailing conditions. The Saturday morning was foggy so the race committee postponed the start. After noon AP flag came down and all boats headed to the race courses. Helsinki Regatta was sailed on Saturday in light wind and sunny weather. On Sunday a rain front with hard wind had reached Helsinki from South-West and caused some issues to the organizers. Of six planned races on three different courses only two races were sailed. Hi all fans and friends of Sailpix. Today, 19th of June 2014, is Sailpix 10 years anniversary. The Melges 24 Finnish National Champion 2014 is "Lenny" EST790 helmed by Tonu Toniste. Lenny won five races of eight and ended at 10 points followed by "Fundanything.com" with 16 points and at third place "Navy Sailing" with 18 points. Audi Dinghy Regatta organized by Hangö Segelförening in the most southern city of Finland. For the Laser 4,7 class the planned National Championship status was cancelled because of too few registered sailors. So for all classes including also Laser standard, Laser radial, Europe, and Zoom it was a normal ranking regatta. Totally 58 dinghy sailors […]
Audi Dinghy Regatta organized by Hangö Segelförening in the most southern city of Finland. For the Laser 4,7 class the planned National Championship status was cancelled because of too few registered sailors. So for all classes including also Laser standard, Laser radial, Europe, and Zoom it was a normal ranking regatta. Totally 58 dinghy sailors were sailing two days in light wind and weather varying between sunny and cloudy. The 154 photos are from Saturday two first races.
