Almost 200 yachts in 17 different classes on 4 separate race areas during three days makes it a popular regatta for a hardcore sailor and for less serious holiday sailors as well. On the first day the wind in Hanko was too strong and gusty. On the second day the light and unstable wind allowed only one race, but on Thursday, the third day at the Audi Open Dragon Nordic Championships, the wind was near prefect. The final day at the Hanko Regatta was sunny and windy. Because of the hard wind 6mR and 8mR classes did not sail on race course D at all on Sunday, so final results are based on Friday races only for 6mR and 8mR. 5m class results are based on results from Friday and Saturday. All other classes were out enjoying the sunny but demanding sailing conditions. The Saturday morning was foggy so the race committee postponed the start. After noon AP flag came down and all boats headed to the race courses. Quite soon the half of the boats returned as there was no wind or it was too foggy. Just F18 catamarans started and on another course also other smaller boats. […]

Quite soon the half of the boats returned as there was no wind or it was too foggy. Just F18 catamarans started and on another course also other smaller boats. Audi Dinghy Regatta organized by Hangö Segelförening in the most southern city of Finland. For the Laser 4,7 class the planned National Championship status was cancelled because of too few registered sailors. So for all classes including also Laser standard, Laser radial, Europe, and Zoom it was a normal ranking regatta. Totally 58 dinghy sailors […]
Audi Dinghy Regatta organized by Hangö Segelförening in the most southern city of Finland. For the Laser 4,7 class the planned National Championship status was cancelled because of too few registered sailors. So for all classes including also Laser standard, Laser radial, Europe, and Zoom it was a normal ranking regatta. Totally 58 dinghy sailors were sailing two days in light wind and weather varying between sunny and cloudy. The 154 photos are from Saturday two first races.
