The ISAF Youth Match Race World Championship hosted by NJK started today with quarter finals and continued with semifinals. Denmark, France, Australia and USA won their opponents in the quarter final and are fighting for a last point to reach the final tomorrow on Sunday.  Aschenbrenner (DEN) leads Quiroga (FRA) 2-0, and Gilmour (AUS) leads Snow (USA) 2-0. Another hot sailing day in the Helsinki sauna. According to news this is the warmest week in 50 years, so can't say that we remeber anything warmer. The light wind continued, but all planned flights were sailed to close the round robin. Eight best will continue to quarter finals. Second day at the ISAF youth Match Race World Championship added up 12 flights to the total of 25 sailed. Before the sea breeze took over the weak North wind one flight was sailed. After more than one hour waiting the sailing continued until 18:30 in the evening. Finlands team with skipper Markus Rönnberg improved their position during the day with four straight wins compared to five losses on the first day. First racing day at the ISAF Youth Match Racing World Championship 2014 hosted by NJK.  The day started sunny with some light breeze present. The Race Committee was able to complete the first two flights before the forecasted wind direction change took place. That put the competition on hold for half an hour, before the wind settled down into its new direction, where it stayed until the end of the day.
