Sinebrychoff Challenge had after many years a new defender of the trophy. MayBe VI had the previous year beated Sara af Hangö. First time in the new history of this race the qualification race could not be sailed before the lunch because of the fog. The race committee decided that the challenger will be the winner of a single race after the lunch. Sara af Hangö won that race and sailed in the final, but MayBe VI was able to defeat the title successfully.
