Folkboat Finnish Championship 2020

The first day at the Nordic Folkboat Finnish Championship started in heavy sea mist. Practical visibility was less than 200 meters, so first time ever I had to start by driving my RIB to the organizers (NJK) harbour and ask where the boats are. Luckily one Race Committee motor boat with Pata and Robbie happened to be there so the first photo is taken when I’m following them to the Folkboat fleet which is moving together with the start boat out to the race area. After noon the heaviest sea mist vanishes and the racing starts.

Photos (134) are from the one and only race of the day, which was sailed in decreasing wind. After the race the sea mist came back and it was impossible to continue racing.
