HSS Spring Cup, this year reduced to four classes (606, Dragon, First 31,7, X-99). Photos from two races sailed on Saturday in steady 10 m/s wind and great waves. Cloudy in the morning, but sunny later in the afternoon. Dragon First 31,7 X-99 606

Season opening for the Finnish Off Shore sailors and for Sailpix. Race was sailed in light wind which increased during the day with plenty of sunshine. RESULTS ..and a 30 second video from the ORC1 class start.

The last surf season never ended and the surfers have been able to surf on seawater or icesurfing through the whole winter. First signs of spring were seen on Sunday 8th of March when more than 20 enthusiastic kitesurfers were surfing at the Secret spot. Thanks to all cool women Rita de Kite and icemen Fredrik Dow, Marek Hintze, Tom Jungell and special thanks to, Jändo Mikkser, Jouni Lehtonen and Ken Nossenko for all the tricks. It was a really nice photo session. Please be patient during the slideshow....

Winter Windsurfing Finnish Nationals 2015

Winter Windsurfing Finnish Nationals and European Championship, sailed in Espoo at Soukanlahti. The weather was not the best possible, but at least there was ice and wind, which is the minimum requirement for racing. Results are available at the Event Facebook page.

Restoration of 6mR Renata, part III

Visited Peter Granström at Tammisaaren Veneveistämö for the third time to follow up with progress of restoration of the 6mR Renata. At the moment the hull looks like a skeleton, which is getting a new spine as the new keel stock and stem are being installed. A lot of caution is also set in restoring the original shape of the hull as it has changed during its long life since 1927. The original drawings have been compared to the 3D model of the hull and some deviations have been found. Peter Granström...

Champion of Champions 2014, NJK

Champion of Champions at NJK is an annual weekend event where the Finnish champions in different classes meet at the end of the season. This year the real big Champion is from the X-35 class - Anssi Lydén with his team Susanna Kukkonen, Timo Kari and Erik Mansner. NJK Match Race Center Cup 2014

Last of the season 2014 Center Cup at NJK Match Racing Center. Forecasted strong wind of 12-14 m/s in the darkening Tuesday night attracted five teams to race in really cold 10 deg Celsius temperature. The gusty wind set its challenges and the teams had to do their best to master the tricky conditions.
