Hanko Regatta 2017

After a 3 week windy period it was time again for Finland’s greatest annual race sailing regatta in Hanko. Weak wind and clear sunny weather kept the sailors long days on the sea, so it was real aftersail party after all sailing days. Wessel & Vett Cup 2016, KDY

This year the Kongelig Dansk Yachtclub, being the oldest yacht club in Denmark, celebrates it’s 150th anniversary. The Meter Rule has an important role in the history of the yacht club. Hanko Regatta 2016

The one and greatest Hanko Regatta was sailed on the second weekend of July in varying winds and some fog on Saturday morning. Almost 200 yachts in 17 different classes on 4 separate race areas during three days makes it a popular regatta for a hardcore sailor and for less serious holiday sailors as well. Viaporin Tuoppi 2015, SuPS

The funniest and greatest wooden boat event in Finland organized by Suomenlinnan Pursiseura. This year already the 31st time almost 200 yachts racing along the shores of Helsinki. The light wind and sunny weather guaranteed that people enjoyed both racing on the sea and after sail in the Suomenlinna harbour. Totally 246 photos, but anyhow couldn’t get you all. Hanko Regatta 2015

Once again Hanko and HSF showed the best sides of summer and sailing for the more than 200 boats attending the biggest annual sailing regatta in Finland. The 30th Viaporin Tuoppi with many sail yachts outside of Helsinki in the biggest wooden yacht event in Nordic. The light wind and sunny weather guaranteed that people enjoyed both racing on the sea and after sail on land. Hanko Regatta 2014 Saturday

The Saturday morning was foggy so the race committee postponed the start. After noon AP flag came down and all boats headed to the race courses. Quite soon the half of the boats returned as there was no wind or it was too foggy. Just F18 catamarans started and on another course also other smaller boats.
