NJK Match Race Center Cup 2014

Last of the season 2014 Center Cup at NJK Match Racing Center. Forecasted strong wind of 12-14 m/s in the darkening Tuesday night attracted five teams to race in really cold 10 deg Celsius temperature. The gusty wind set its challenges and the teams had to do their best to master the tricky conditions.

Youth Match Race Worlds

Youth Match Race Worlds, Day 4

The ISAF Youth Match Race World Championship hosted by NJK started today with quarter finals and continued with semifinals. Denmark, France, Australia and USA won their opponents in the quarter final and are fighting for a last point to reach the final tomorrow on Sunday.  Aschenbrenner (DEN) leads Quiroga (FRA) 2-0, and Gilmour (AUS) leads Snow (USA) 2-0. Youth Match Race Worlds, Day 3

Another hot sailing day in the Helsinki sauna. According to news this is the warmest week in 50 years, so can’t say that we remeber anything warmer. The light wind continued, but all planned flights were sailed to close the round robin. Eight best will continue to quarter finals.
